July 10.2009 HOT BOYZ PARTY in Hong Kong

Photo Exhibition this Saturday

THIS SATURDAY, April 25:
Please join us for "At the Mosque," an exhibit by my friend Derek, a photographer who has been traveling for the past year in the Muslim world. Derek has put together a select number of photos specially for this exhibit, to provide a peek into parts of the world so often misunderstood. Captions will be provided by his partner Paul.

Derek's work has appeared in countless books, magazines and newspapers, including the cover of the current edition of Lonely Planet Hong Kong. Photographs by Derek and writing by Paul can also be seen at www.paulstravelblog.com or at www.derekbrownphotos.com

For directions email derekbrown@mac.com

Happiness Is...

Happiness
original words by B. Anderson Jr.
sung by Gerard and Lea Salonga
additional verses by cant_u_read, inspired by the recent events in a friend's life

Happiness is two kinds of ice cream
Finding your skate key, telling the time
Happiness is learning to whistle
Tying your shoe for the very first time

Happiness is playing the drum in your own school band
And happiness is walking hand in hand

Happiness is five different crayons
Knowing a secret, climbing a tree
Happiness is finding a nickel
Catching a firefly, setting him free

Floatilla 3.... is it safe to go in the water?

dum dum. dum dum dum. Yes... it's here again... the fun in the sun (or rain), big gay HK weekend. Kicks off Saturday with Gay Day at Disney (round 3 also, please remember to wear RED t-shirts), and continues through Floatilla and all the pre and post parties that go with it.

Mr. Sharkbait has kindly put together a package with important details about Floatilla. If you didn't get the PDF, then download it here ( http://outinhk.com/files/AttendeeFloatillahkf08.pdf )!

Anyway... I am sending out my usual email, so won't go on about it too much here.

New to HK

Hiya:

New to Hong Kong, just arrived from the States in January. Came out late in life (I'm 49), was married but am now divorced. So, I'm settling into a new life, want to make some friends, have fun and explore the social scene in Hong Kong which is very different than New York. I went to Club 97 on Friday night at 8:30 and it was empty. Where do people go and how can I meet other professional gay men.
